Our Subfloor Preparation & Laying Process

A beautiful floor is 90% preparation. We execute a rigorous multi-step installation process to prevent moisture bubbling or plank separation:

1. Moisture Testing & Leveling: We measure the moisture content of the concrete screed. Any humps are ground down, and hollows are filled with self-leveling compound to ensure a perfectly flat surface.
2. Damp-Proof Membrane (DPM): We apply a epoxy-based liquid damp-proof membrane to prevent subfloor rising moisture from reaching wood or laminate.
3. Acoustic Underlayment: For SPC and laminate, we lay a high-density foam or cork underlay to cushion the floor and reduce sound impact.
4. Precision Cutting & Laying: We install planks or pour epoxy resin under controlled temperature conditions. Planks are fitted with expansion gaps around the perimeter.
5. Skirting & Profile Trims: We finish the perimeter using solid wood or PVC skirting boards, transition strips, and T-moldings.
